The Gallery provides the following kinds of service

Menu Selection

In arranging for private events, menu and beverage selections are to be finalized two weeks prior to the function.
All food, bakery items and beverages must be supplied and prepared by Chez Zee for in-house functions.


Beverage and Bar

Arrangement

We have a full service bar as well as wine, beer and soft drinks. No outside beverage of any kind may be brought into Chez Zee as per TABC regulations.


Capacity

The Gallery can accommodate up to 80 people for seated functions and 125 for standing receptions.

Parking

Valet parking is available at $3.00 per car.

Specialty Cakes

We have a full service, on-premise bakery. We make wedding cakes, groom's cakes, birthday cakes and celebration cakes for all occasions. Ask the coordinator for a list of our flavors, sizes and prices.


Audio-Visual Equipment

The Gallery can provide a projection screen and wireless microphone. We will make arrangements to rent additional audio-visual equipment upon your request. You are welcome to provide your own.


Guaranteed Head Count

The Gallery requires a guaranteed number of attendees by 11 a.m., 72 working hours prior to your event. If no final guarantee is received, the number on the event contract will be considered the final guarantee. Because we know things change, the Gallery will be prepared to serve 5% over the guaranteed number. You will be billed for additional guests over your guaranteed number. We are preparing this food exclusively for you, therefore your guaranteed number is not subject to reduction after the stated deadline.


Billing

Payment is due in full at the completion of each event. State sales tax of 8.25% will be applied to all non-exempt groups for food and beverage items. A tax-exempt form will be required if claiming a tax exemption.


Minimum Expenditures

The minimum expenditure in food and beverage requirement is based upon time, date and season. Please speak to the Gallery Coordinator for more details.

The minimum requirement is before tax, labor and service charge.


Deposits

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the date you have selected. Deposits can be made by check, cash, or credit card. Deposits are applied to the final bill for the event. Deposits are banked immediately upon receipt. Dates are not considered secure until a deposit has been received.



 

Hors D'oeuvres Receptions

The average price for heavy hors d'oeuvres is $25-$35 per person, before tax, labor and service fees. The dollar amount is equivalent to a meal but made up of 10-12 pieces or servings of food per person. The price ultimately depends upon final menu selection.


Seated Lunches and Dinners

Just as you would have guests in your home, we recommend that you offer the same entrée to everyone. If you would like to offer a choice of two entrees, we invite your guests to pre-order. A list of guests' names and entrée selections is required 72 hours prior to the event. Place cards noting entrée selections will be required. We are happy to accommodate any dietary requests. Labor Fees

Our friendly waitstaff is billed at $18 per hour per server. Your coordinator will work with you on the details of your particular event to schedule the proper number of staff. The schedule for each server includes two hours for set up and an hour and a half for break down, per server, plus the time scheduled for the actual event.


Service Charge

While the only staff you see at your event are the servers, there are many people behind the scenes making your event a success, from the dishwasher to the chef. The service charge is calculated at 18% of food and beverage sales prior to tax.

Cancellations

If a function is cancelled within 72 hours prior to the scheduled date, payment in full will be due. If an event is cancelled within 10 days of the event, 50% of the estimated charges will be due. Deposits are non-refundable.
