Thank you for your interest in hosting your special event at Chez Zee! We love helping people celebrate the special moments in their lives. Our private event space, The Gallery, can hold up to 100 guests for seated and buffet events and up to 150 guests for cocktail/reception style events. Semi-private spaces in our restaurant can accommodate up to 50 guests. View our virtual tour here. In order to conform to City of Austin health regulations, we do not allow food or drink from outside for a reservation or party. Our fabulous in-house bakery will be happy to bake your special dessert. Please see our desserts menu here.

Private Events

The Gallery: Private Event Venue, Private Dining Room and Private Event Space in Austin

Walls of French windows and Chez Zee's signature twinkle lights will create a magical venue for your next private event. The Gallery is a separate building, located just across the courtyard from the restaurant and has its own P.A. music system, piano and service facilities.

The Gallery features year round art exhibits and a beautiful space to host a birthday party, holiday party, intimate wedding, rehearsal dinner, anniversary celebration, bar mitzvah, bat mitzvah, client appreciation dinner or celebration of life event/after funeral memorial (and so much more!).

The Gallery is also a perfect venue to host a business luncheon or a daylong seminar. Our venue provides theatre style seating and is complete with AV equipment and wireless microphone. We can serve breakfast, lunch or dinner Monday - Friday and serve brunch or dinner on Saturdays and Sundays.

The Gallery can seat up to 100 people for seated dinners or host cocktail/reception style parties for up to 150 people. There is additional seating for 30 people on the Gallery patio.

The Gallery's amenities include a private bar which can be stocked to your preference. Full bar service from simple beer and wine to exquisite wine selections and premium liquors. We provide house centerpieces, linens and background music. We also offer valet parking options.

For safety reasons we do not allow outside food or drink for a party or reservation. Please contact us if you need anything special for your event.

Frequently asked Questions about The Gallery at Chez Zee in Austin.

How do I reserve a date?

For private events in the Gallery, you may email our events manager at events@chezzee.com . Please include the date of your party, the time, the number of people and the type of event. You may also complete our online form here.

Alternatively, you may call 512-748-0345 to speak directly to the events manager.

In order to reserve a date in the Gallery a $500 deposit is required along with a signed contract.

Can we bring in our own cake, cupcakes, or other food or desserts?

Unfortunately, we do not allow any outside food or beverages in the Gallery. However, we would love to bake a cake, or even cupcakes, for your event. Let us know if you have any special requests. We can usually handle any request with enough notice.

When do I need to give a final head count?

A guaranteed head count will be needed 8 days prior to your event.

For Banquets Can you accommodate presentations?

We can accommodate presentations (A/V equipment including screen and projector) in The Gallery.

Is The Gallery handicapped accessible?

Yes, our private dining space is handicapped accessible.

Do you have a special event that you would like to celebrate? Hold your next event at Chez Zee American Bistro! We offer a variety of options to make your event a success. We accommodate many events such as baby and bridal showers, rehearsal dinners or receptions, birthdays, business meetings, office happy hours or any other event you are planning to celebrate. We offer lunch, brunch, and dinner packages to suit all your event needs.

Crescent Room Dining

This room can accommodate reservations of up to 50 guests with the entire room. Smaller groups can be accommodated in a portion of this room (up to 25 guests) and can be sectioned off with curtains and accordion dividers for a more intimate experience. Specific time slots are allotted for these reservations. Please inquire for date and time availability.

South Side Dining

This room can accommodate reservations of up to 35 for seated service or cocktail events. Specific time slots are allotted for these reservations. Please inquire for date and time availability.

Food and Beverage Minimums

Reservations that wish to reserve the ENTIRE Crescent Room or the ENTIRE South Dining for their event will be subject to the following food and beverage minimums and the set-up charge. (Please add $100 to South Side minimums and $250 to crescent room minimums for Holidays, Graduation Weekends, and December.)

South Side Minimum (25+ guests)

  • Lunch Monday-Thursday/Friday $500/$600
  • Dinner Sunday-Thursday $1,000
  • Dinner Friday and Saturday $1,500
  • Brunch (Saturday 9am or after 2:30pm Only) $800

Crescent Room Minimum (35+ guests)

  • Lunch Monday-Thurs./Friday $800/$1000
  • Dinner Sunday-Thursday $1,500
  • Dinner Friday and Saturday $2,500

All other lunch event reservations of 16 guests or more will have a food and beverage minimum of $15/person. Brunch events with more than 16 guests have a $20/person food and beverage minimum. All other dinner event reservations (after 5pm) of 16 or more guests will have a food and beverage minimum of $25/person

Set-up/Linen Charges

This covers general set-up and breakdown of your space, buffet/dessert/gift tables (if desired), white linens on all tables, creation and printing of personalized menus, and event booking/coordination. 0-29 guests $75.00 30+ guests $125.00

Party Room Question: How do I reserve a date for my event or party at Chez Zee in Austin?

Welcome to The party space in Austin! For parties in the restaurant please email our management staff at events@chezzee.com. If you need to make your reservation right away, you may also call Chez Zee directly at 512-454-2666 to speak to the manager on duty.

Party Room Question: Can we bring in our own cake, cupcakes, or other food or desserts?

Unfortunately, we do not allow any outside food or beverages in Chez Zee. However, we would love to bake a cake, or even cupcakes, for your event. Let us know if you have any special requests. We can usually handle any request with enough notice.

Party Room Question: When can you accommodate baby showers and bridal showers?

We can accommodate baby and bridal showers in the restaurant throughout the week or on Saturdays at 9:00AM, 11:30AM, 2:30 PM or later (time available depends on size of group), and on Sundays at 9:00 AM or 3:30 PM and later (for parties up to 30 people, for parties of 30+ on Saturday and Sunday mornings our private event space, The Gallery is available).

Event Question: When do I need to give a final head count for my party?

A confirmed head count will be needed 72 hours prior to your event.

Event Question: What if the number in my group goes up?

Should your numbers change we will make a reasonable attempt to accommodate your party. However, we reserve the right to place your party wherever necessary and change seating arrangements with no prior notice.

Party Room Question: How will the tables be arranged?

At our party Room in Austin, TX, we can accommodate groups up to 14 at one table; groups over 14 will need to be broken down into smaller tables. Unfortunately, due to space limitations we are not able to accommodate horseshoe or conference style tables in the restaurant.

Party Room Question: May I bring in decorations for my private party?

For parties in the restaurant you may arrive up to 15 minutes early to decorate your table. We ask that you refrain from using confetti or glitter as it is difficult to remove from our carpet.

Party Room Question: Can we have floral arrangements delivered?

You are welcome to bring your own flowers or have floral arrangements delivered to the party room in Austin. We also provide in-house floral decoration for an additional fee.

Is the restaurant handicapped accessible?

Yes, we are handicapped accessible. Please let the manger know at the time of booking of special needs of any guest in your group.
